Outfitted with RDMS on new Samsung Galaxy Tablets, Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) staff collected wildfire PA Damage Assistance assessments. This information was collected in real-time and transmitted back to TDEM headquarters for rapid analysis in RDMS Collaborate.

Pacific Partnership 2010 (PP10) is the fifth in a series of annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance endeavors aimed at strengthening regional partnerships among U.S. government organizations, host nations, partner nations, and international humanitarian and relief organizations. During the summer of 2011 GRT’s patented Rapid Data Management System (RDMS™) was once again deployed to the Pacific. This year to support the ship and crew of the USS Cleveland in support of Pacific Partnership 2011 (PP11), providing humanitarian assistance to over 30,000 people across the Pacific.

Balikatan – April 2011

Philippines
Emergency responders from the American Red Cross and the GRT Field Operations staff deployed to Alabama in April, 2011 in response to the severe tornadoes outbreaks.  Outfitted with RDMS, Red Cross Quick Assessment Teams (QAT) collected almost 15,000 damage assessments in 18 days.

Balikatan 2011 was a Republic of the Philippines-U.S. bilateral military humanitarian assistance and training exercise in the Philippines. During the Humanitarian Civic Assistance (HCA) Program, Navy and Marine Corps personnel using RDMS collected over 7,500 patient assessments at 6 rural villages across the Philippines in a 14 day period.

Exercise Cobra Gold is a regularly scheduled joint and coalition multinational exercise hosted annually by the Kingdom of Thailand. During the Humanitarian Civic Assistance (HCA) Program, Navy and Marine Corps personnel using RDMS collected over 9,500 patient assessments at 9 rural villages across Thailand in a 13 day period. This was also continued preparation for possible pandemics.

Public Service of NH
Emergency responders from the American Red Cross and the GRT Field Operations staff deployed to Alabama in April, 2011 in response to the severe tornadoes outbreaks.  Outfitted with RDMS, Red Cross Quick Assessment Teams (QAT) collected almost 15,000 damage assessments in 18 days. Public Service of NH uses RDMS on a daily basis for collecting outage and non-outage Trouble Report Unsatisfactory Equipment Repair (TR/UPER) assessments. To date, PSNH has collected thousands of TR/UPR assessments with RDMS.

Emergency responders from the American Red Cross and the GRT Field Operations staff deployed to Alabama in April, 2011 in response to the severe tornadoes outbreaks.  Outfitted with RDMS, Red Cross Quick Assessment Teams (QAT) collected almost 15,000 damage assessments in 18 days.

The Maine Forestry Service (MFS) uses GRT technology regularly to improve and enhance their daily operations. Several examples include cataloging inspection notices, generating complaint tracking forms, performing field inspections, tracking of Federal Excess Fire Equipment, generating Wildfire Situational Reports, and conducting home assessments for community Wildland Urban Interface inspections. The Maine Forest service has collected over 30,000 field inspections.

During the summer of 2010 members of the GRT Field Operations Team supported the ship and crew of the USNS Mercy in support of Pacific Partnership 2010 (PP10), providing humanitarian assistance to nearly 80,000 people across the Pacific.

AIR Worldwide, the scientific leader of risk modeling software and consulting services, deployed staff to Chile with RDMS to collect earthquake damage assessments. Epicenter, aftershock, and intensity map layers were sourced from the USGS and post-processed by GRT staff so that they may be overlaid with the damage assessments in RDMS Collaborate.

Haiti Earthquake - January 2010

Satellite imagery, provided by GeoEye, of the Presidential Palace area before and after the earthquake in Haiti. Damage assessments collected will be provided as an overlay to this imagery. Civil Affairs and Engineering Units from United States Southern Command for the Government of Haiti used RDMS to collect Key Infrastructure damage assessments. Survey assessments of tent cities were also collected.

New England Brace Company and Healing Hands for Haiti collected amputee survey assessments with RDMS. Using RDMS technology, both groups were able to capture detailed medical surveys that contained unique identifying information and GPS coordinates so that follow-up care could be more easily provided.

Maine Floods - April 2009

In April, 2009 Maine experienced severe spring flooding as a result of unseasonable ice flow jams. Working in conjunction with the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), the Maine Forest Rangers, outfitted with RDMS for their day-to-day operations, helped to collect 160 flood damage assessments. This information was collected in real-time and transmitted back to MEMA headquarters for rapid analysis in RDMS Collaborate.

UNICEF Child Friendly Schools Initiative – Nicaragua
The UNICEF operation collected 456 assessments which consisted of classroom observations and interviews with teachers, students, and parents. New features of RDMS were put to work during this deployment including audio recording and document scanning using printed text recognition software. 1400 assessments were collected over four days by a single field collector with a single PDA with a special focus on schools that collapsed during the disaster. Epicenter, aftershock, and intensity map layers were sourced from the USGS and post-processed by GRT staff so that they may be overlaid with the damage assessments in RDMS Collaborate. 1400 assessments were collected over four days by a single field collector with a single PDA with a special focus on schools that collapsed during the disaster.
