More than the Sum of Its Parts

Global Relief Technologies' solution consists of three basic parts:

  1. Rapid Data Management System (RDMS) software operating on mobile handheld devices that provide data input forms, maps and satellite imagery. Using our patented technology, GRT’s solution is able to select the most cost effective and available means for transmitting data and images.
  2. A satellite terminal for communicating voice and data when cellular and land lines are unavailable or not working.
  3. A web based software application providing a Virtual Network Operations Center (VNOC) capability, for real-time easy access to aggregated information for reports, analysis, alerting and coordination with internal and external organizations.

And when combined together, they form the most comprehensive, adaptable, and reliable data collection and real-time analysis solution in the mobile computing world.

Handheld Device with RDMS

RDMS software runs on numerous types of Windows Mobile PDAs and cellular phones. Several of these devices are designed to withstand extreme environments and meet military specifications. They provide the means by which field personnel can quickly and accurately enter and upload data to a secure data center. These devices can also receive data from headquarters if mission parameters change.

Flexible and adaptable, RDMS software is configured to meet each client’s specific requirements for the collection and reporting of information. RDMS also includes mapping software and satellite imagery for navigation and visual assessments. GRT leverages your forms and a library of best practices to enhance usability and to dramatically reduce the learning curve for field personnel. And because RDMS is based on standard technologies, downloaded forms can easily be added, updated or supplemented.

Satellite Communications Terminal

For those field personnel that are operating in remote and austere environments, or where cellular and land lines are inoperable, GRT also provides a satellite communication capability, so you’ll never be out of touch. Comparable with DSL Internet speeds, this satellite terminal can be used for communicating data, reports and images, as well as voice when needed.

Virtual Network Operations Center (VNOC)

The VNOC is the central hub of the GRT solution. It’s a Web-based application that helps you access and manage the information collected by field personnel. Some of the services the VNOC provides include:

  • Monitoring, reviewing and evaluating information as it is transmitted by field personnel to your organization’s secure database
  • Conducting instant analysis of information using standard and custom charts, graphs, and reporting capabilities
  • Location-based analysis identified by icons displayed over maps and satellite imagery
  • Sending emergency contact information directly from field users to headquarters' personnel monitoring the VNOC
  • Exchange of mission critical information with other agencies via GRT's customized interoperability center, enabling multiple organizations to share and view data

And because it employs a secure Web-based interface, you can access data anywhere and anytime using any Internet connection.
